Today I'm linking up with the lovely ladies over at
Beautiful Mess and
Keep Calm and Carry On for Saw It, Pinned It, Did It. Last Thursday, my co-worker Lucy got engaged and we are all just so stinkin' excited for her! Lucy was so much help when I planned my wedding because she has been in/been to lots of wedding so she was full of ideas and now it's her turn! All of my co-workers chipped in to get her an engagement gift, so of course I looked all over Pinterest to find my inspiration. Here is the pin I tried to copy:
First thing I noticed was that the champagne bottle had to be bedazzled, duh. Everything is prettier when it has glitter or rhinestones so off to Hobby Lobby I went.
Then the bedazzling began...
Instead of tying it all together like the pin, I did everything separate with a tulle bow - WAY easier to transport to work. I bought gold glitter tulle and there is glitter all over our house, ha. Oh well, it was worth it. Here is the champagne bottle progress...
I showed Joey the bottle when I finished it and he said it looked really good and then asked if the E on the bottle was for "engaged", haha! I got a good laugh out of that one. Lucy's new last name begins with an E, so she needed a bedazzled E on her champagne bottle. And now the finished product...
Her gift turned out SO cute! Even cuter than I expected. We are so happy for her and wish her/Ricky a lifetime of happiness!
