Saw It, Pinned It, Did It: Engagement Gift

Today I'm linking up with the lovely ladies over at Beautiful Mess and Keep Calm and Carry On for Saw It, Pinned It, Did It.  Last Thursday, my co-worker Lucy got engaged and we are all just so stinkin' excited for her!  Lucy was so much help when I planned my wedding because she has been in/been to lots of wedding so she was full of ideas and now it's her turn!  All of my co-workers chipped in to get her an engagement gift, so of course I looked all over Pinterest to find my inspiration.  Here is the pin I tried to copy:

First thing I noticed was that the champagne bottle had to be bedazzled,  duh.  Everything is prettier when it has glitter or rhinestones so off to Hobby Lobby I went.

Then the bedazzling began...

Instead of tying it all together like the pin, I did everything separate with a tulle bow - WAY easier to transport to work.  I bought gold glitter tulle and there is glitter all over our house, ha.  Oh well, it was worth it.  Here is the champagne bottle progress...

I showed Joey the bottle when I finished it and he said it looked really good and then asked if the E on the bottle was for "engaged", haha!  I got a good laugh out of that one.  Lucy's new last name begins with an E, so she needed a bedazzled E on her champagne bottle.  And now the finished product...

Her gift turned out SO cute!  Even cuter than I expected.  We are so happy for her and wish her/Ricky a lifetime of happiness!

  1. I love it, especially the bedazzled champagne! Very cute idea. I know what you mean about glitter being everywhere, I love glitter and I don't mind the sparkle it leaves behind.
