After last week's post, it's no surprise that I'm a little teeny tiny bit obsessed with the Bachelor. I'm normally ok with DVRing the episode's and watching them on Monday or Tuesday, but the finale is definitely an exception to that rule. I must watch the finale as it is airing live (so I can tweet along with what's happening, duh) so poor Joey knew I was taking over the TV for 3 hours on Monday night.
Some of you I've emailed back and forth about this, but some of you don't know. I cheated. I read Reality Steve months ago and knew he was going to pick Catherine. Oops. The suspense was killing me! So I feel like it was hard to have a real opinion on anyone since I knew how the end would turn out. But, I was still SO excited to watch it all play out on TV!
I honestly liked both girls and feel so bad for Lindsay. She was so sweet and I think she handled Sean's "let down" very well. She seemed like she's recovered just fine on After the Final Rose. I really liked Catherine all along, even though she received very little air time in the beginning. I think her and Sean have so much fun together and are perfect for each other. I am rooting for them and hope things work out in the end (I actually have faith in these two that they will make it work... unlike all the other failed Bachelor/Bachelorette couples).
And onto the Bachelorette announcement... I'm happy for Des because I think she's super sweet and America obviously loves her, but I think Lindsay would have been a better fit. Chris Harrison said it best last night - if Des is already crying, it's going to be a longggg season! The final episode where the two remaining guys meet Des' family will be very entertaining if her brother is there!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the recap! My friend Katie (the one who walked off early) was on the show, so I obviously watched to see her. Once she was gone, my husband pretty much took the remote back into his own hands. LOL. Anyway, I was curious to know what happened. The Bachelorette was filmed down the street from my house last season, so I feel like I have some weird connection to those shows now that I can't shake!
ReplyDeleteI cheated too! Every season I tell myself I won't read Reality Steve and every season I break that promise. Womp, womp! They are super cute together and I'm glad Lindsey seems just fine. Now just a couple more months until The Bachelorette! Yay!

I looked up who won a while back too! Haha. & I got home from the rodeo on Monday night at 11:30 & you better believe I stayed up watching the whole 3 hours til 2:30 in the morning! It was worth it lol. I liked Lindsay a lot but I was okay with Catherine winning because he's obviously madly in love with her! & I agree that Lindsay would've made a better bachelorette but since I like Des I'm okay that they chose her.. When they meet her brother it's gonna be the best part of the season ;) couldn't agree more with this whole post! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for you to post this!!!!! Cheater here too!!! Catherine was a great choice. At first it was hard to see their chemistry since she wasn't on much in the beginning but you could definitely see it here and it was pure love!!! I'm ok with Des being the next Bachelorette. I agree Lindsay would of been better but so be it! I cant wait until the guys meet her brother....drama!!
ReplyDeleteI usually ALWAYS look up the spoilers for each season, but actually didn't this time around! I was Team Lindsay but am honestly glad Catherine won now after seeing the finale :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my friends had a little too much wine and told me who won. Honestly, I didn't believe it because I never imagined them together. Once it got down to the final four it was ruined for me.. :(... My question is why does Sean feel the need to do dancing with the stars?? I have always LOVED him, but this makes it hard for me!!!

ReplyDeleteThe fact that they already announced a TV wedding and DWTS spot - I think they are in it to make some fast cash... I think I'm the only person that really thought Lindsey was going to win.
ReplyDeleteI finally watched the finale last night. I also read reality Steve in the very beginning so no surprises for me. BUT I don't know how I feel about Sean. He's so cheesy. And then they announce their wedding will be aired on ABC and he accepts dancing with the stars this season. I just feel like he is craving for tv time!!
